It started with a single question: Hey, how’s the job search going?
Goal:
Understand the frustrations job seekers face across platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Workday, and
explore opportunities to design a more seamless, transparent, and motivating job application experience.
Project overview:
This project tackles the challenges job seekers face with fragmented application processes across
multiple platforms. The goal was to design a digital tool—developed as a web extension and
standalone application—that streamlines the job search experience through intuitive navigation,
a clean user interface, and user-centered design principles.
By integrating features that reduce repetitive tasks and centralize resources, the solution improves
efficiency while minimizing user frustration. The design process emphasized interaction design,
usability testing, and iterative problem-solving to ensure the tool not only addressed functional
needs but also created a smooth, motivating experience for users navigating the job market.
Secondary Research:
This analysis reveals inefficiencies across major job platforms, with third-party tools attempting to
address these gaps. However, no single solution fully streamlines the job application process.
Despite catering to different job seekers, these platforms share common challenges, including
repetitive applications, lack of seamless tracking, and limited resume customization—highlighting
a clear opportunity for innovation.
